I've just torn one down myself. You can take the heat sink off of you undo
the three screws that secure it on the solder side;
the shielding cans are friction fit not soldered, so you can actually expose
all the ICs in a non-destructive teardown. The key components are:
Main SoC Broadcom BCM63137
WLAN SoC 2.4GHz Broadcom BCM43602
WLAN SoC 5GHz Broadcom BCM4366
WLAN RF Front End 2.4GHz Skyworks SKY85310-11 (also Bluetooth capable)
WLAN RF Front End 5GHz Skyworks SKY85712-11
LAN Switch Broadcom BCM63137
DSL Front End Broadcom BCM6303
DRAM 256 MB (Samsung)
Flash 256 MB (Macronix)
Looks like the PCB is six layer, standard FR-4
Despite what's floating around on the internet, looks to me like the USB is a 2.0 not a 3.0.
Seven unused coaxial connections; one on each of the antenna tracks.
The coaxial cable on the solder side transports one of the 2.4 GHz signals
