1300 Mbps - 3SS 5GHz 802.11ac (80MHz chan.),
450 Mbps - 3SS 2.4GHz 802.11n (40MHz chan.) = AC1750 class

Overview

Despite Linksys claims of only three-stream speeds, version 2.0 appears to be wired up for four tx/rx chains with three external antennas and one internal antenna. It may actually support four spatial streams and higher-than-advertised speeds. RF Report NII at the FCC shows 4 transmit and 4 receive chains.

  • FCC documents claim that the Linksys EA7400 v2 lacks "256QAM in 802.11ac" to differentiate it for marketing purposes but Linksys claims speeds of 1300/450Mbps which would suggest that 256-QAM is disabled for the 802.11n radio instead.
