Overview
The device is marketed towards usage in hotels as an in-room access point.
This FCC ID covers the TA-6950, TA-7950, and the TA-8050.
- The TA-6950 and TA-7950 (DeskPoint Pro) are circular APs.. dunno what the differences between the models is. They both seem to have a built-in USB charging port.
- The TA-8050 (DeskPoint Pro Under Desk) is rectangular and (obviously) meant for under desk placement.
This device would appear to be using RTL8196C and RTL8192SE/RTL8192CE.
Default settings are per the FCC manual and may be inaccurate..
- The default SSID is stated as deskpoint. There are 118 entries for this SSID currently (as of 2013-04-02) on WiGLE.
The MAC address label on the FCC EUT indicates that these devices use a 00:09:92 (Interepoch) OUI.
